چکیده

A deformation of the harmonic oscillator algebra associated with the Morse potential and the SU (2) algebra is derived using the quantum analogue of the anharmonic oscillator. We use the quantum os-cillator algebra or q-boson algebra which is a generalisation of the Heisenberg-Weyl algebra obtained by introducing a deformation parameter q. Further, we present a new algebraic realization of the q-bosons, for the case of q being a root of unity, which corresponds to a periodic structure described by a finite-dimensional representation. We show that this structure represents the symmetry of a linear lattice with periodic boundary conditions.

Applications of Classical and Quantum Algebras to Molecular Thermodynamics

Lie-algebraic and quantum-algebraic techniques are used in the analysis of thermodynamic properties of molecules and solids. The local anharmonic effects are described by a Morse-like potential associated with the su(2) algebra. A vibrational high-temperature partition function and the related thermodynamic potentials are derived in terms of the parameters of the model. Quantum analogues of anh...

Construction of Bosons and Fermions out of Quons

The quon algebra describes particles, “quons,” that are neither fermions nor bosons, using a label q that parametrizes a smooth interpolation between bosons (q = 1) and fermions (q = −1). Understanding the relation of quons on the one side and bosons or fermions on the other can shed light on the different properties of these two kinds of operators and the statistics which they carry. In partic...

In this paper we discuss some physical applications of topological *-algebras of unbounded operators. Our first example is a simple system of free bosons. Then we analyze different models which are related to this one. We also discuss the time evolution of two interacting models of matter and bosons. We show that for all these systems it is possible to build up a common framework where the ther...

Kinetic model for q-deformed bosons and fermions

We have studied the kinetics of q-deformed bosons and fermions, within a semiclassical approach. This investigation is realized by introducing a generalized exclusion-inclusion principle, intrinsically connected with the quantum q-algebra by means of the creation and annihilation operators matrix elements. In this framework, we have derived a non-linear Fokker-Planck equation for q-deformed bos...
